Reaching, Reaching...got it

With camera ready, we all waited in anticipation as our CAMN President Tom Neale reached out and balanced to use his grabber to get a snagged piece of trash. With perfect control, Tom was able to get the trash picked up.

Central Arkansas Master Naturalists participated in the Little Rock City wide clean up on Saturday, April 24.  Groups headed off with grabbers to all parts of the park with rain parkas on, determined to make Kanis Park a trash free Little Rock Park.

Participating in the clean up were Martha, Nancy, Leo, Katherine and Tom.  Missing from the picture are Bill and Fritz.

Parks Award

Tom Neale, president, accepted the award on behalf of CAMN. Tom, pictured below accepting the award, said, "This award was presented to CAMN for its volunteer and financial support of Pinnacle Mountain State Park. I am so proud to accept this recognition for our chapter.  Pinnacle Mountain State Park has been so supportive of our activities and this award represents our mutual appreciation for each other.  The award represents the contribution of over $5000.00 worth of volunteer time and money by our members. We share with Pinnacle Mountain State Park the desire to connect people with nature and we are so fortunate to have such a beautiful park with its supportive staff."
